AMER EASTERN BUTTON DOWN SHIRT - WHITE POPLIN WITH BLACK EMBROIDERED PENCIL STRIPES

This textile idea came from Ankit, our primary manufacturing partner in Jaipur.  On first glance this fabric mimics a classic pencil stripe poplin, but when you look closely you can see that each stripe is actually a single needle running embroidery stripe.  Each stripe is done one at a time - a highly time consuming process - to add dimension and life to an otherwise ordinary cloth.  The end result is subtly stunning.  Silhouette-wise, we chose to riff on the Jesper but swap the traditionally Western left breast pocket for a traditionally Eastern asymmetrical on-seam Kurta pocket.

These run on the relaxed side of true to size.  We recommend taking your normal alpha size here or sizing up for an oversized fit.
